Oxidation is a chemical burn of the sterling that gives it a dark, almost black finish. It contrasts beautifully to the polished applied scrolls and fine hand-twisted rope edges.This set looks very sharp on a black belt.  The sleek modern buckle set base is nicely offset with a touch of traditional western styling.
